Operating Principle of Emergency cut-off valve
25 Clauses of Serious Accident Preventive Measurement on Power Production was issued by State Power Corporation on September 28, 2000. Among which, some regulations set forth in clauses 9.1 and 10 are as follows: extract unit must be provided with emergency cut-off valve for fast close to prevent over speed of team. 0.5-ls emergency cut-off valve which has been developed by the company is efficiently avoiding of the problem. Operation principle of turbine unit please refer to Drawing (1) and for the valve, please refer to Drawing (2). The valve is mainly composed of body, cylinder-spring actuator, hydraulic control box and electric control box. Push “open” button or open the valve according to system command (remote control), the hydraulic control box start, pressure oil flow into bottom of the cylinder, the cylinder then drive disc to open, at same time, the spring compress; when the turbine unit is under emergency condition, it shall send signal to the hydraulic control system or the electric control system, and the valve will fast close in 0.5-ls due to spring acting, which protect the turbine and pipeline equipments.
